Scene: Christine Brown played by the very talented Alison Lohman is a loan officer and has denied Mrs Ganush for an extension on her home loan which resulted in Mrs Ganush casting the Lamia spell on Christine and dying shortly after. Christine gets informed through a medium that there is one more powerful medium that could ultimately help her cast off that hellish spell but with a price. There they are at a round table performing their seance and the goat they used to lure the evil spirit in so they can kill it off just won't go down without a fight.
Scene: Laurie played by Canadian-born actress Anna Paquin is a shy, introverted, good girl through and through whom decides to separate herself from her mundane, sex-seeking girl friends. She is ironically wearing a red cape through the woods. Laurie feels threatened for her safety when she finds herself being followed and tracked down by a vampire. We, the viewer, were not ready nor prepared for what happened next. The following scene twisted my world so hard that I felt kinda ashamed for awhile. We thought this vampire will inevitably devour little red riding Laurie but instead we discover that the vampire was no vampire, and little frail-looking virgin Laurie was no innocent little virgin, as she was..................
Scene: Sam Neill's character wakes up to a chaotic world as his door is gorged open and the other mental asylum residents are shredded to pieces, still dressed in the issued scrubs that he has altered by now with drawings of crucifix, he roams the post-apocalyptic streets, and finally goes into a deserted movie theater playing "In the Mouth of Madness". To make matters even more personal, he is in the starring role playing himself of course; with popcorn in his hands, he laughs hysterically at the screen.
Last scene from Invasion of the body snatchers (1978)
Donald Sutherland's character Matthew is spotted by Nancy while walking towards the city hall by now we are relieved to see that Matthew along with Nancy survived the crazy night. Nancy calls him but Matthew responds in the most peculiar manner by pointing at Nancy and screaming in the same way the pods people do when they catch a non-pod person.
Actor: Donald Sutherland
Director: Philip Kaufman
Famous Quotes: "Here I am, you pod bastards! Hey Pods! Come and get me you scum!"
Invasion of the Body Snatchers is one of those grand movies that is so cryptic that you will be lost trying to piece together ..................
Actress: Maria de Lourdes Villiers Farrow AKA Mia Farrow
Director: Roman Polanski
Famous Quotes: "What have you done to it? What have you done to his eyes?"
Rosemary's Baby can be interpreted in so many different ways; it could be explained as a simple tale of satan worshippers (Coven, Lodge, dungeons, secret societies) living among us in high societies and capable of covertly operating to fulfill their ultimate goal under the disguise of an overly friendly old couple who happens to be your neighbor or as a precautious remark to choose your husbands more wisely. Rosemary's baby is...............
It is a pretty damn good movie, sent chills up and down my spine throughout most of it. If you haven't already seen it, you need to watch this movie, the scare tactics are very well put together. I was most intrigued with the scene in the bathroom with Angela (Amy Smart) when her reflection slowly ripped apart her own jaw consequently killing her in the tub; that was the most disgusting, most horrifying scene for me; it was so raw.
Why: The Thing is always going to remain one of the greatest Alien movies ever because the storyline is both plausible and unimaginable. The Prequel to this Claustrophobic and Paranoiac tale of a shapeshifting alien that overpowered a Norwegian Research team by assimilating them is likely to be both highly anticipated and mostly watched - wrong. But I loved the storyline, I loved how it ended to merge with the beginning of the former movie, I loved the special effects, I also loved the actors I thought they did a very good job overall. This Prequel will make you feel that it was necessary to The Thing franchise as it explains the Alaskan Malamute being chased after and shot at by a rifleman from a Norwegian helicopter.
Actors: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Ulrich Thomsen, Eric Christian Olsen
WTF Scene: Where Elsa played by Sarah Polley and Dren played by the gorgeous Delphine Chaneac are in the woods, Dren tackles Elsa to the ground, Elsa screams trying to understand Dren's motives for attacking her, and He-she tells her that it wants to be inside her, at that point I am not just taken aback, I cannot believe that she seduces and does the dirty with Clive played by Adrian Brody supposedly her father figure
and now Male-Dren WANTS Elsa (her mother figure), can you say, incestuous menagerie to the max? Shockingly her tail was not only a sharp tool used to kill innocent animal and people alike but also a make-shift penis forced on Elsa as Male-Dren rapes Elsa for over three minutes with her multi-purpose tail.
Actor: Adrian Brody, Delphine Chaneac, Sarah Polley
Director: Vicenzo Natali
Famous Quote: "If you could understand Crazy, it wouldn't be CRAZY"
Bottom Line: In Splice there were a lot of WTF moments but this rape scene was
unlike any other as I was both violently traumatized and brain-raped by that part.
